Most hotel software assumes everyone has an email address, a password and the patience to learn menus. Housekeeping staff have a phone and ten minutes between two rooms. The Bookmatrix.com housekeeping app is built for those ten minutes.
PIN login
Each staff member has a four-digit PIN. They open the app on their phone, type the four digits and they are in. No email, no "forgot my password".
What they see
- Which rooms check out today and which stay.
- Which must be ready first, because a guest arrives early.
- The tasks assigned to them, per room.
What they do
Clean the room and tap "clean". That's it. If they find something broken, they note it from the same screen.
What reception sees
In the calendar the room turns green at that moment. The guest who arrived two hours early can check in, without reception calling the floor to ask "is 12 ready?".
For the owner
You see who cleaned what and when. You assign rooms to staff from the computer with a drag. If you use an external cleaning crew, you give them a PIN only for the days they come.
